I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
